This policy document shows the conceptualization of a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) in Uganda in the field of sustainable energy. It proposes incentives and strategic framework for sustainable electrification in rural schools. After reviewing Uganda’s energy and education system, different scenarios are analysed in the context of climate change, taking account of several co-benefits as well as barriers and risks.
