This policy document shows the conceptualization of a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) in Lao in the field of renewable energy. It proposes incentives and strategic framework for rural and sustainable eletrification. After reviewing Lao’s electrification system, different scenarios are analysed in the context of climate change, taking account of several co-benefits as well as barriers and risks.
