This technical report on the green economy in Burkina Faso aims to enable the country to seize the opportunities offered by its transition to a green economy. Burkina Faso has a major challenge in strengthening the foundations of its socio-economic development and the study, carried out under the UNEP Green Economy Initiative, is expected to provide a framework for green investments in Burkina Faso and boost the country’s transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy. It focuses on six priority sectors: agriculture, livestock, forestry, water, energy and mining.
