This activity report provides an overview of the approach taken in the Mitigation of Climate Change in Agriculture pilot projects (2011-2014) to support the implementation of climate-smart agriculture in Kenya and the United Republic of Tanzania. The objective of these pilot projects was to show that smallholder farmers can improve their livelihoods and increase their productivity and contribute to climate change mitigation at the same time.
