This policy document shows the conceptualization of a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) in Kenya in the field of circular economy. It proposes incentives and strategic framework for solid waste management approach in urban areas. After reviewing Kenya’s environment policy and waste management, different scenarios are analysed in the context of climate change, taking account of several co-benefits as well as barriers and risks.
