CEB COP 17 Flyer: Cities and Climate Change

This flyer highlights that the effects of urbanization and climate change are converging in dangerous ways that seriously threaten the world’s environmental, economic and social wellbeing. In this area, the key objectives of the UN System are: to promote active climate change collaboration of local governments and their associations in global, regional and national networks; to enhance policy dialogue so that the urban dimension of climate change is firmly established on the agenda; and to foster the implementation of awareness, education, and capacity building strategies.
