This policy document focuses on the concept of energy security and the link between securing modern energy services and sustainable development, in light of the UN Secretary-General initiative “Sustainable Energy for All” and the goals of sustainable development post 2015. The document undertakes the reflection of such UN activities on the current status of the energy in Arab region, in terms of energy resources and diversity, prevailing technologies and strategic objectives.
