Advancing Adaptation through Climate Information Services: Results of a Global Survey on the Information Requirements of the Financial Sector
This technical document aims to determine, when it comes to the issue of a changing climate, precisely what the types of information input are that financial institutions require to put their risk management expertise at the service of broader adaptation and to provide a first assessment of the current provision to the sector with such information. The evidence comes from sixty financial service providers, through a survey conducted by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI), and the Sustainable Business Institute (SBI), Germany.

Adaptation to Climate Extremes in Developing Countries: The Role of Education
This technical document observes that countries with high female education weather extreme weather events better than countries with equivalent income and weather conditions. The relationship between resilience in the face of extreme weather events and increases in female education expenditure holds when socioeconomic development continues but the climate does not change, and socioeconomic development continues with weather paths driven by “wet” and “dry” Global Climate Models.
