Scaling-up Climate Change Education, Training and Awareness-Raising through a Regional Hub

Climate change aggravates the effects of population growth, food insecurity, poverty as well as gender inequality. West Africa and the Sahel are one of the most climate-vulnerable regions in the world. Climate change learning is a crucial element in reducing countries’ vulnerability and helping them to adapt. The UN CC:Learn Hub in West Africa aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of current and future professionals (women and men) on climate change through a regional platform involving 13 countries from the Sahel – Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Togo.
