Report Eleventh session of the Committee on Water resources Amman, 26-27 March 2015
The activity report presents the proceedings of the eleventh session of the Committee on Water Resources of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), which was held in Amman, on 26 and 27 March 2015. The session agenda included priority issues such as climate change, its impacts on water resources in the Arab region and progress achieved in implementing the Regional Initiative for the Assessment of the Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources and Socio-Economic Vulnerability in the Arab Region (RICCAR) as well as building the capacities of member States in climate change negotiations and preparations for COP21.
The agenda also includes progress achieved in implementing the Regional Initiative for Establishing a Regional Mechanism for Improved Monitoring and Reporting on Access to Water Supply and Sanitation Services in the Arab Region (MDG+ Initiative), regional cooperation for shared water resources management, the post-2015 development agenda from the perspective of the Arab region and the water-energy-food nexus in the Arab region.

Biomass Energy Service-based Rural Energy Entrepreneurship
