At UN CC:Learn our mission has always been to provide accessible and high-quality climate change learning for all, with the credibility that comes from the UN system.
However, due to rising operational costs and the need to maintain competitiveness, we are introducing a payment system for certificates on our platform. This step is necessary to ensure continued innovation and quality of our platform.
What will change?
The payment system only affects the download of certificates of completion. A small fee will be collected for certificates, which will vary according to course age and length, in the range of USD 10-30. Course content will remain accessible as before and free. You will notice the gradual rollout of this change over the coming months.
This change will allow us to:
- Sustain the platform and keep it operational
- Continue offering new content and features
- Maintain the quality and relevance of our courses
- Continue to listen to our users and adjust accordingly.
Earning a UN-issued certificate is a recognition of your achievement by a trusted global organization. Our certificates reflect the credibility of completing a course developed by recognized experts in climate change, aligned with international standards and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We deeply appreciate your support and understanding as we adapt to this change. Your contributions will help keep UN CC:Learn a valuable and accessible learning resource for people around the world.
Thank you for being part of the UN CC:Learn community and for your continued commitment to learning and climate action.
