This activity report includes a concise Information Paper that provides recommendations to the IPCC for the Sixth Assessment Cycle, in particular to the leadership of Working Groups I and II. This report also contains summaries of the discussions in the plenary sessions and in the breakout groups. It further includes the abstracts of the keynote and perspective presentations as well as the poster abstracts presented during the Workshop.

This activity report presents the proceedings and recommendations from the Expert Meeting on the future of the Task Group on Data and Scenario Support for Impact and Climate Analysis (TGICA) which was held in Geneva, Switzerland from 26 – 27 January 2016. The purpose of the meeting was to obtain input from relevant experts on the future role of TGICA in relation to the needs of the IPCC and in the context of an evolving landscape of climate change related data and scenario provision. The meeting was attended by 57 invited experts from a wide range of organizations and countries.

This activity report summarizes the discussions at the Expert Meeting, which yielded recommendations to the IPCC on how it could build on the advances it has already made in communication to ensure that its assessments are clear, accessible, actionable and relevant to all its stakeholders.
