The Class
This class explores how learning can prepare every person to make informed decisions and support global efforts towards a sustainable future. Through sharing real-world stories and practical tips, participants will discover what it means to learn in ways that foster agency, support communities, and inspire collaboration. The session highlights the importance of a whole-of-society approach to learning about the climate.
The Teacher
Dr. Nafissa Insebayeva is a researcher at Innovation and Education Programme at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS). Insebayeva's work focuses on advancing action-oriented Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and climate change education to strengthen community resilience and empower local climate action. Through global and local capacity-building initiatives, UNU-IAS supports educators and students in developing the skills and mindsets needed to create more sustainable and resilient futures.
