The Class
Our current production and consumption patterns drive climate change and threaten the planet’s ecosystems. To protect the foundations of our livelihoods, we must reshape our economic and social systems to operate within planetary boundaries. This means transitioning to a carbon-neutral, resource-efficient economy – a shift that will create both winners and losers. To ensure broad support and minimise resistance, this transformation must be fair and equitable.
This edition of the Climate Classroom will explore the concept of a Just Transition and its importance in the climate debate. It will examine key policy areas to promote a Just Transition and will highlight the critical role of green skills development in enabling this shift.
