This manual is aimed at non-Annex I Parties that are engaged in the process of preparing vulnerability and adaptation (V&A) assessments for their national communications under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The use of this step-by-step workbook will facilitate the construction of national and regional climate scenarios, using MAGIC and SCENGEN.

This manual aims to describe the steps required to generate high-resolution climate change scenarios using the model PRECIS and taking into account remaining gaps in information and understanding. In fact, it is important that adaptation decisions are based on a range of climate scenarios accounting for the many uncertainties associated with projecting future climate.
