At a high-level event with over 60 participants Uganda’s Minister of Water and Environment, H.E. Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu launched the National Strategy to Strengthen Human Resources and Skills to Advance Green Low Emission and Climate Resilient Development 2013-2022 on 28 June 2013, Kampala, Uganda.

Agreement Signed for the Promotion of Climate Change Education in the Dominican Republic
The National Council for Climate Change and Clean Development Mechanism (CNCCMDL) of the Government of the Dominican Republic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Teacher Training Institute (INAFOCAM) to develop a Training Programme on Climate Change for Teachers. This initiative is part of the UN CC:Learn Partnership.

Indonesia Identifies Strategic Learning Priorities to Address Climate Change
The National Council on Climate Change of the Government of Indonesia held a workshop with over 62 participants representing 15 government ministries and agencies, 7 UN agencies, the UN Resident Coordinator Office, 3 universities, NGOs and the private sector, to review progress on development of a National Learning Strategy to address climate change.
