UNITAR/UN CC:Learn Joins Inter-Agency Committee for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) invited UNITAR/UN CC:Learn to participate in the Inter-Agency Committee (IAC) for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD, 2005-2014). By joining the group, UNITAR/UN CC:Learn will create linkages between the specialized work undertaken by the members.

Government Sectors and Stakeholders in Benin Advance Development of Priority Action to Strengthen Climate Change Learning
The workshop “Pre-validation of Benin’s National Strategy to Strengthen Human Resources, Learning and Skills Development to Address Climate Change” took place on 6 June 2012 in Cotonou, Benin. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Urbanism (MEHU) of Benin in the framework of the national UN CC:Learn Project.

Press Conference Stresses Importance to Make Progress on Successor Work Programme on Article 6
A press conference was organized on 24 May 2012 by the Dominican Republic in the margins of the Bonn Climate Change Conference, Germany. The event highlighted that Article 6 of the UNFCCC on education, training and public awareness and the development of a successor programme to the New Delhi work programme are of key importance to developing countries.
