15 March 2013 | Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

10-15 March 2013, Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. The CNCCMDL in partnership with INAFOCAM organized a pilot workshop on “Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development (CCESD)”. The workshop was organized within the framework of the national UN CC:Learn project and the priority action on Strengthening Capacities to Integrate Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development (CCESD) in Secondary School Education. The six-day workshop brought together more than 45 delegates, education planners, curriculum development specialists, teacher trainers and teachers from the Education Ministry, Teacher Training Institutions, Universities and NGOs. The course on CCESD was designed by UNESCO.

This video presents a photo story narrating about a training event held by the National Council on Climate Change (CNCCMDL), and gives a fly-on-the-wall view of ways in which Dominican teachers are getting involved in spreading key messages on climate change through the national curriculum.
