UN CC:Learn Secretariat has signed a new agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation launching the 2017-2020 implementation phase of the One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership. We are very thankful to Swiss Government for its continuous support.

During the next three years, we aim to strengthen and expand our engagement at the national and global level, contributing to the implementation of Article 6 of the UNFCCC on training, education and public awareness-raising, and the 2012-2020 Doha Work Programme.

At the global level, we want to continue improving the quality of the debate by providing foundational learning for as many people as possible, in order to create effective and innovative solutions for climate change impacts. At the country level, we intend to focus on providing support in the most climate vulnerable countries, by promoting a strategic approach to climate change learning and working with the formal education system, professional training institutions, and increasingly the private sector.

Education and training are paramount to develop the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to deal with climate change. The knowledge and capacities required for the transition to a green, low emissions and climate resilient societies are multiple and diverse. Thus, we will continue to develop the most appropriate and tailored learning for different audiences.
