Investing in People and Learning to Foster a Climate Resilient and Green Transition

Climate and Technology @SB50

Summary

Technology is a key component in addressing climate change. Around the world, technologies are helping us to more effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change impacts. Moving forward, technology will play an even more significant role as we strive to implement the Paris Agreement.

Participants will learn about available support for technologies, including technology transfer, under the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism as well as the main components of the new Technology Framework. Examples of technology transfer in mitigation and adaptation will also be provided. Participants will also learn how to access climate technology information about their countries and identify who their country’s national technology focal point is.
