ILO Learning Forum on Green Jobs

06 September 2013. Shifting towards more sustainable and greener economies is crucial to effectively address climate change. The promotion of green jobs strategies at the local level is central to this transition. Aware of the need to build capacity in this field, the International Training Center (ITC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO) organizes a dedicated learning event titled Learning Forum on Green Jobs: Local Strategies and Actions. This forum will take place from 4 to 15 November 2013, in Turin, Italy.

This international forum provides learning, knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities to appraise green jobs strategies and actions implemented in different regions and their potential for sustainable local development and decent work creation. The forum targets specifically development practitioners, government officials dealing with local economic development and environmental policies, local representatives of workers, employers, business organizations and cooperatives.

The forum will be held in both English and Spanish. The total cost for participating in this event amounts to 3250 EUR, which includes 1920 EUR of tuition cost and 1330 EUR of subsistence cost. To apply please click on the following web-links: English, Spanish
