National Climate Change Learning Strategy IndonesiaThe President of Indonesia’s Special Envoy on Climate Change, launched the National Climate Change Learnin Strategy  on 29 August 2013 in Jakarta. The Strategy focuses on three major fields of activity: building personal and institutional capacity to address climate change, integrating climate change in the national education system and improving awareness and knowledge of parties regarding climate change.

The Strategy will be enacted through a Presidential Decree which will regulate the process of strengthening the capacity of individuals, institutions and systems. The Strategy will be also part of the policies and programmes of  sectors and institutions relevant to the priority areas in the National Action Plan on Climate Change Adaptation (RAN-API) and the National Action Plan on GHG Emission Reduction (RAN-GRK).
