  3. Least Developed Countries Training Workshop on Implementing National Adaptation Programmes of Action

  4. Pilot workshop on “Training of Trainers” for Disaster Management

    The UNISDR Regional Office for Africa holds a pilot workshop on “Training of Trainers” in the Rift Valley Province, Kenya, 25-26 August 2010 to test a toolkit for disaster risk reduction. The toolkit teaches disaster risk managers, disaster emergency responders and other practitioners to use Natural Hazard Factsheets developed by UNISDR when training actors at the grassroots level.

  7. e-Learning Course on International Trade and Climate Change

    This course, offered by UNITAR in collaboration with the World Trade Institute of the University of Bern, explores key legal and economic issues arising from the climate change debate, including the relationship between the WTO Agreement and multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) that address climate change. The course examines the legality under international trade rules of domestic and international trade measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as measures designed to influence the behavior of trading partners.

  10. Congo Basin Biosphere Bio-Carbon Forum and Training Seminar

  11. Training Workshop on Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems with focus on Institutional Partnerships and Cooperation
