This course aims to educate executives and middle management from financial institutions such as banks, insurers, reinsurers, and fund managers, from both developed and developing regions on climate change issues. In particular, it addresses 4 key areas: 1) a general introduction to climate change, the science and impacts, and key international and regional policies in place to tackle it; 2) climate risks; 3) climate change and the energy economy; and 4) carbon finance and the Kyoto Mechanisms.
